Watauga Arts Council

In this 4 week drumming course, students will learn hand positions and stick techniques on how to produce notes on African hand drums. Expect to learn rhythmic patterns and tonal blends that make up drum orchestration. The goal of this course is to make beautiful drum music together, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced drummer. Students can expect patience from the instructor, who would like you to have patience with yourself as well.

Please note: Please bring your djembe, conga or hand drum to the class. We can provide drums for a rental fee of $10 for all four weeks.

Class will be delayed 30 minutes on the October 12th date, starting at 2:30pm and ending at 4:30pm. No class will be held on October 19th.
