Watauga Arts Council

In this course, students will learn a new beginner-friendly stitch that can be used for lettering each week (backstitch, whipped backstitch, chain stitch, satin stitch). There will be a new lettering focused pattern to practice on each week. While we will be mainly focusing on building our lettering skills, there will also be examples of other ways to use the stitches learned in ways that aren't lettering related. At the end of the course, students will leave with at least one finished embroidery of their own, and basic embroidery knowledge including how to finish and set an embroidery in it's hoop.
