Make a Mosaic 'Goddess' Evening Class

There are two versions of this class. This option is the evening version.
Goddesses are as old as (wo)mankind, and yet, today we rarely honor them nor turn to them for strength! A “goddess” may be someone you know or admire, or she may become your homage to a trait, a talent, a habit, or a hobby. In this class, we will mosaic our fantasy goddess honoring whatever the student chooses (nature, family, friends, trees, bicycling, kindness, etc). We will learn how to use thinset as an adhesive and will not grout these pieces. The instructor will offer several substrate shapes and sizes, all cut to hang. All materials will be supplied, but you may want to check your junk drawers for sentimental costume jewelry, symbols of things you love, small souvenirs that can be adhered and even favorite rocks, shells, or pottery shards. In the case of a goddess: more is more!!
Please wear closed toe shoes and bring any tools you may own. A small box or baggie is a great help for holding the items you select to work with and if you have a flat box (like a clean pizza box or shoe box we can dismantle) it will be helpful to build your piece upon.
